Niagara Falls International Marathon. THIS EVENT IS CANCELLED FOR 2020. THE NEXT EDITION IS OCTOBER 24TH, 2021. We do not yet have an open date for registration. The marathon was revived in 1998 under the new name Casino Niagara International Marathon with Casino Niagara as the title sponsor. A half marathon was established in 2001, drawing additional participants to the race. The half marathon also offers a walking division.
Join the Tim Hortons International Marathon in Niagara Falls on Sunday, October 24th, 2021. The Niagara Falls International Marathon was formerly known as Skylon Marathon. With expos, marathons and fun races, the Niagara Falls International Marathon has become a popular event since its beginning in 1974.
The Niagara Falls International Marathon is a Boston Qualifier. The Marathon starts by the Albright-Knox in Buffalo, NY. The route then follows the beautiful Buffalo parkways and Niagara River Parkway and finishes in Niagara Falls, Ontario. It is the only known marathon in the world that begins and ends in different countries.

- Sunday, October 24th, 2021, 09:00 a.m. race start, course closes at 4 p.m.
- Finish right at the brink of the Niagara Falls, Ontario
- Race Kit Pickup: Saturday Oct.23rd, Scotiabank Convention Centre OR race morning starting at 7:30 a.m. at the start
- No strollers or walkers allowed
- Minimum age requirement to race: 18
- Must have valid ID – Passport, Enhanced Driver’s License or Nexus Card
Half Marathon
- Point to point course. Flat for first 17.6 km. 55' drop over remaining 3.5 km
- Finish right at the brink of the Falls.
- Sunday, October 24th, 2021, 10:00 a.m. race start, course closes at 4 p.m. (9:58 a.m. start for Wheelchair division)
- Race Kit Pickup: Saturday Oct.23rd, Scotiabank Convention Centre OR race morning starting at 7:30 a.m. at the start
- No strollers allowed
- Walkers permitted but no separate category for awards.
- Minimum age requirement to race: 16
David Gregory Mackinnon Memorial 10K
- Out and back course with negative elevation change of approximately 25 metres
- Finish right at the brink of the Falls!
- Sunday, October 24th, 2021, 9:00 a.m. race start. Course closes: 4:00 p.m.

All awards must be picked up post-race at the “AWARDS” booth: 1st/2nd/3rd overall (male/female)& Age groups: 19 & Under, 20-24 & every 5 year age group (1st/2nd/3rd).
Buses to the start for PARTICIPANTS only: 7:30-8:00 a.m. at Crowne Plaza Hotel, I.D. required to board bus.

This annual run gives participants the unique opportunity to start and finish in different countries. The marathon route starts in the USA, crosses the Peace River Bridge, and finishes in Canada at the base of Niagara falls.
There are multiple distance options available on the day. Runners who don’t want to go for a full 42.2km can run one of the half marathon, 10k, or 5k races. The marathon is the only event that crosses international borders, but, all of the races finish right by the falls!
Marathon, Half Marathon, 5k, 10k – From USA to Canada, everyone finishes at the brink of the falls! The Niagara Falls International Marathon is AIMS and IAAF Certified and the marathon course is Boston certified/qualifier.
Point to point course starting at Albright Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, NY crossing over the Peace Bridge into Fort Erie, ON all runners finish right at the brink of the Falls!
